Questions about the After-Life!

I have many questions about the crossover from life to death. It is curious that nobody has ever been able to adequately answer those questions - it is left to me to decide what I believe it will be like! There are many religious-based suggestions as to various scenarios that will occur - mostly empirically constructed from biblical-based doctrines and teachings - plus, in some cases, personal experiences - but never any proof!!!

These are a few of my thoughts on the matter of life an death!

OVER THERE.......

Will I miss the Earth when I go over there.....

The scent of a blossom – a fragrance in the air?

Will I be engaged with a new way of being…..

Will I still recall my old way of seeing?

Will I be aware of the times that I knew,

Of every experience that I went through.....?

Or will it fade as I start to embrace

This new existence out of time and space?

I’m sure I will carry the texture and feel

Of everything that used to be real......

The fabric of my day-to-night,

The structures of my sense and sight.........

But will I remember those that I leave…..

Will I still be able to clearly retrieve…..

Their smile, expression, the feel of them near…..

Or will that start to disappear?

To this, at least, I am resigned.....

That much will likely be left behind!

But I will still remain the same........

Alive forever……….and called by name.
